OEM Services
Spin
One is founded on 25 years of experience in the development of
electronic and laser products for the OEM. We have applied our
expertise to the whole gamut of product development tasks, ranging from
simple consultation on solving problems related to laser lifetime, to
the complete design of turnkey lasers. Our projects have included:
- CW
Broadband, CW Single-Frequency and Mode-locked Ti:Sapphire Lasers
Our Senior Scientist (Dr. Anthony Alfrey) was the principal engineer on
the development of the Model 3900 Ti:Sapphire laser introduced by
Spectra Physics
nearly 20 years ago. This robust design remains essentially unchanged
to this day. See it
here.
- Air-Cooled,
Diode-Pumped Nd:YAG Laser
Providing the fundamental, second and third harmonics, this complete
laser system is used for low-cost micromachining. See a CAD view
here.
- High
Rep-Rate Tripled Nd:Vanadate Laser
This robust, high-average power laser was designed for
stereolithography, an application requiring extended hands-off,
maintennance-free operation. See a CAD view
here.
- Diode-Pumped
Tm:Ho:YAG Laser
This fiber-coupled (pump and output) CW, 2.1 micron laser was designed
for laser vision correction.
- Electronic
Subassemblies
Drivers for diode lasers, thermoelectric coolers and A.O and E.O.
Q-switches, and oven controllers for non-linear optical crystals are
some of the subsystems we have designed for our clients.
We
now offer these new OEM design services:
- Thermoelectric
cooler arrays and companion closed-loop heat exchanger design.
Let us handle your next laser diode cooling project, saving your
valuable in-house resources for your core design issues. We will be
happy to bid on a full range of project sizes, from simple consultation
on a discrete design problem, to a complete turnkey system. We "Design
For Production" so you can be confident that our product will fit
seamlessly into your manufacturing environment. Get useful hints and

- OEM
versions of our Model 3001 TEC Driver.
Considerable cost savings are possible in a production-quantity unit
that does not require a sophisticated display or a consumer-grade
enclosure. Please call (1-650-851-2337) or e-mail our engineering
department (engineering@spin1.com)
to discuss your particular design requirements.
