Model 3001.2
555 Watt Thermoelectric Cooler Driver.
  • 46.5 volt/12.5 amp Bipolar Operation.
  • Supports Temperature ICs, Thermistors and Platinum RTDs.
  • 0.01° C Resolution, < 0.001° C RMS Stability.
  • Provides a Comfortable Power Margin for Large Diode Arrays.
  • Cost-Effective Cooling for Smaller Diode Bars.
The Model 3001.2 is an efficient and user-friendly closed-loop temperature controller/driver for thermoelectric coolers (TEC) and is an ideal choice for all high-powered thermoelectric cooling or heating applications, including large laser diode arrays or other laboratory heat pumping tasks requiring TEC electrical power inputs of up to 555 watts. Line voltage requirements are 100-240 VAC at 8 A, 50/60 Hz and the unit is power-factor-corrected for use in the United States or Europe. The simple user interface allows rapid set-up, while a large, bright LED display is provided for monitoring the set point, operating temperature, limit temperature, TEC current and voltage, and TEC current limit. The Model 3001.2 provides maximum protection for your thermoelectric coolers and constantly monitors and protects against TEC and system overcurrent, open TEC cables and excess system and sensor temperature. The Model 3001.2 uses a responsive and easily-tuned proportional-integral (PI) feedback loop, ideal for the long time constant thermal loads usually associated with large arrays of TECs. High operating efficiency and low temperature stress is afforded through the use of our exclusive Load-Trac circuitry (patent applied for), providing you with a rugged controller that uses a minimal amount of your valuable lab space. The detailed operating manual allows the user to obtain the best possible performance from a large selection of temperature sensors. Hints from the manual and our technical support staff can save valuable time in optimizing the thermal design of a TEC/heat-load assembly.
